Celebrating Grace

Creative and encouraging, Social Work graduate, Grace Magat, was a popular play helper in Out of School Hours Care with children with additional needs. Parents, seeing her in action, snapped her up for NDIS funded support work.

Her experience includes working for an NDIS registered disability support service doing a range of different shifts but these days she works privately for NDIS participants who are self-managed and plan-managed. This means that they can employ her a sole trader. She works casually with children and adults doing art and craft at home or socialising outdoors.

Grace is in her final year of study to become a nurse, and her last placement was in a Covid-19 hospital ward. She is now in quarantine as a close contact of a fellow student who contracted the virus.

A big shout out to her for all her caring work . Stay safe, Grace.
